Troy'Michael's recovery

Thank you guys for your prayers.

I know that I was not very good at keeping you up dated. I'm sorry.

OK, this is what happened..... Troy 17 years old, was injured playing sandlot football. He was tackled by a kid his size and weight. (accident) We called 911 when he was brought home to us, 2 hours later in critical condition. He was rushed into emergency exploratory surgery. The Doc informed us to prepare for the worse. It did not look good for his outcome. He had internal bleeding which required an additional 2 units of blood. Four hours later the doctor came out. He compared Troy's injuries to a soldier and a road side bomb. His spleen had a grapefruit size bruise. The damage was so severe the Doc had no choice but to remove the spleen completely. His pancreas was severed in half. (Now you can live with half but, not without one.) They cut him from his sternum to his pubic bone.

Today we came home one week later. He is still in horrible pain. We have a new life for him now. He will have to be careful with germs and infection.

He will live a full life and has a new outlook at life. Very positive and a great attitude. He now appreciates life and his family and friends. As do we as well.

Thank you to all of his family and friends that stood beside us. We love you Guys!!!!!!!!! Troy'M is taking note.

This will be a long road to healing for him.

May God bless each of you as he does for us,

Troy, Stefanie Jeremy, Troy and Nana
