Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! What an exciting day it is, for this is the day that we recognize our freedom as a country. Over some 200 years ago, I believe, is when this officially took place and it's awesome to acknowledge it for what it truly represents. For what those men truly were fighting for, freedom of religion. Now, around 2,000 years ago, a man, who was by the way God manifested in the flesh, named Jesus Christ offered us freedom for eternity not just the present. I'm fully persuaded that while He was on that old rugged cross, you and I were on His mind. What an awesome God we serve, who, to deliver us out of bondage and sin, robbed himself in flesh to be tested and tried in all the same manners as we are. Yet without sin! We are victorious in Christ, and I submit to you today, let not a day go by that we forget to give God the thanks for the freedom we truly do have!
